Research interests
Philosophy of Mind and Language; Philosophy of Literature, with particular interests in Beckett and Poetry; Philosophy of Film.
Ongoing research projects
I am currently at work trying to draw illuminative parallels between Wittgenstein and Beckett on questions like rule-following and 'going on'; ending and the limits of thought and philosophy; deflating common conceptions of the self. I am also interested in drawing Beckett into a more general defence of the seriousness of poetry against certain well-known challenges from philosophy (particularly those associated with J. L. Austin and speech act theory).
